A signet ring is a ring engraved with a monogram, family crest, coat of arms, insignia, or other symbol. They have graced the fingers of everyone from Egyptian queens to Churchill to Shakespeare. In antiquity, the rings were used by anyone with social standing to 'seal' their insignia in wax on important documents, a powerful tool akin to a signature. As the use of signet rings as document seals declined, the pieces have continued to maintain their popularity. In modern times they are often adorned with an engraved monogram.

To curate this assortment, Ariel scoured trade shows, flea markets, private collections, and beyond to find authentic, one of a kind jewelry. Every piece in the collection was purchased by Gordon in person so she could fully vet the quality and authenticity.
